If you are out walking early in the morning, or in the evening, please remember to take care to be seen by drivers on the road. In many areas of Blaine there are no sidewalks, so residents walk along the curb.

  • Whenever possible, cross the street at a designated crosswalk or intersection.
  • Increase your visibility at night by wearing something light, preferably with reflective material, and carry a flashlight.
  • It’s safest to walk on a sidewalk, but if one is not available, walk on the shoulder or along the curb, facing oncoming traffic.
