Every dog in the City of Blaine over the age of six months is required to be licensed.  Residents moving into the city have 30 days to purchase a dog license.  Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for the dog is required to obtain a dog license.  The fee for the license is $10.00.  The period of time a dog license is valid is two years depending on date of purchase.  The City of Blaine ordinance allows three dogs to be licensed at an individual residence.

Sec. 14-171 Required; application; procedure.

A dog license can be obtained several ways: 

By Mail: 

If requesting a dog license by mail, please the Dog License Application Form Adobe Download, print and mail to:  Blaine Police Department, Attention: dog license, 10801 Town Square Drive NE, Blaine, MN  55449.  Please include the proof of current rabies certificate or copy of along with e a check for $10 made out to the City of Blaine.  The certificate of rabies, paper license and dog tag will be returned by mail.

In Person:

Dog license can be obtained in person at Blaine City Hall, Police Department during business hours M-F, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
