- Feb 9, 2012 at 11:03 AM CPR Certification Class. Thursday, Feb. 16. 6-10 p.m. Fee: $32. Sign up by Monday, Feb. 13th. | Course is designed to meet the needs of lay rescuers learning CPR to protect family members, friends and co-workers. Curriculum includes infant, child and adult CPR, relief of foreign body airway obstruction and AED(defibrillator). Course meets day care certification requirements.

FEE: $10 | Activities Include: Carnival Games, Bingo, Crafts, Face Painting, tattoos, coloring sheets, relay races, photo opportunities, and we will also have a few Super Heroes walking around for more pictures! Refreshments provided! Come dressed up in our favorite Super Hero Costume!
The Parks and Recreation Department provides a comprehensive, year-round recreational activity program for residents of all ages. The department staff facilitates and initiates opportunities in recreation, leisure education, and social and cultural pursuits. They also work in cooperation with community organizations and agencies in an effort to facilitate a broad variety of recreational opportunities within the City. Parks and Recreation is the focal point for residents seeking information and referral on recreational and park activities.
Parks and Recreation also plans and manages City parks and recreational facilities for community use. Youth and adult athletic programs are the major user of park facilities. The City also hosts many state, national, and international athletic events.
The department works closely with the three school districts serving Blaine in the provision of community school programs. The City also uses many school facilities for recreation programs.
The Senior Citizen Program was established to meet the leisure needs of seniors. The City has a beautiful Senior Center which serves as a focal point for a wide variety of senior activities.
The Park and Recreation Department is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. The Department is located in the south portion of Blaine City Hall at 10801 Town Square Drive NE.
