 The Public Works Department is divided into several groups whose services provide for the maintenance of, and some construction of, public facilities such as streets and parks and the provision of utility services.
The Streets and Parks group maintains City streets, parks, buildings, and grounds through weed cutting, street sweeping, traffic signs, snow and ice removal, and related activities.
Water and Sewer operates, maintains, and repairs all water-mains, sanitary sewer-mains, and storm sewers within the City, including wells and lift stations.
Maintenance provides a program of preventive maintenance and repair work for City vehicles and equipment.
Employees work as needed, in all areas of the department.
The Public Works Department is open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. Our staff can be reached at 763-785-6165 during normal business hours or 763-427-1212 after hours and weekends.
